How to Make Money Online For Your Offline Local Business ...

Knowing how to make money online can be a powerful boost for your offline business if you understand exactly why people get online, what activities they engage in, and how they like to be persuaded.

Research indicates that most people get online to communicate (email, social media), be entertained, and to gather or learn information. For most offline local businesses, the path to gaining clients and profits from the internet will be to target those people who come online for information.

Internet Information Marketing For Local Business

You can build sales and profits in your local business through internet information marketing, regardless of whether your business is a professional services firm (i.e. Dental, Accounting, Medical) or a consumer services firm like an auto repair shop, plumber, etc.

The key is to understand what types of people use your services, how to demographically group them, and how to identify what information they tend to look for online. By identifying what they look for online, and the language of their searches, you can provide that information as a way to get in front of them.

Although the strategies may differ slightly between a professional services firm and a company like an auto repair shop, the core idea is still the same ? provide attractive and relevant content to your target audience, use that content to attract their online traffic to you, engage them, and then systematically sell them products and services.

How Professional Service Firms Can Make Money Online

Here is an example of how I recommend my clients in this category approach online marketing.

An accountant who wants to leverage the internet can invest in building online-based information marketing profit centers. Starting with an information product that a target prospect would be interested in, you can develop a robust system of products, podcasts, video presentations, lead generation sites and membership sites that all sell information and pre-qualify the best leads for your ?premium? services.

This is especially effective if your services can be transacted by phone, mail, and fax. However, even in cases where your customer base must be local, you can tie down your virtual information business into your local presence through search engine optimization of your online presence and products.

Internet Strategies For Auto Repair and Household Services Businesses

If your business is not what I would call an information-intensive business, meaning that your average customer doesn?t benefit by knowing in-depth information on your work, you can still make money online for your offline business.

One simple strategy is to create local community-focused websites that aggregate local traffic from your area to which you can then be the prime advertiser, advertising your services to a captured audience.

The problem with a strategy like this is the perception that creating such a site is inordinately difficult ? it is not. One of the biggest websites focused on a popular Caribbean destination was created by a teenage girl who started it when she was just 16 years old. By creating a community-focused website that informs, entertains, and educates, you can attract a crowd of locals and continuously expose them to your services.

Additionally, it is very possible for a consumer services business like an auto repair shop to leverage the power of the internet for business success through information marketing. An auto shop owner could create (or pay for the creation of) an ebook teaching customers how to extend the lifetime of their car, or ?shave 60 percent of the cost of annual automobile maintenance?, or even sponsor an ebook that aggregates DIY or cost savings advice for a bunch of services.

By sponsoring such an ebook and connecting it to a digital marketplace and affiliate program (like ClickBank.com), you can virally spread get the word about your local business and your website. When you support this effort with some local SEO strategies, there are tremendous opportunities to make money online and generate customers for your business.

HOME IMPROVEMENT ? Kitchen Flooring: What You Need To Know

Your kitchen flooring could have a huge influence on what is likely the primary room in your household. The proper kitchen flooring may set the mood of your kitchen, make cleaning easier, and last for a long time. The wrong kitchen flooring is going to last even longer, for that reason you need to make a practical decision to begin with. The key factors to look at as you are deciding on kitchen flooring are resilience, maintenance requirements, and looks. We will look at a few fashionable flooring choices with the aforementioned concerns in mind. Another must see is the Kitchen Tile Ideas.

Vinyl flooring is inexpensive and appealing when installed in a kitchen. Vinyl has the ability to mimic other, more costly flooring options including wood or ceramic, but should be less difficult to keep up. A broom is all that is usually needed to sustain these floors. Vinyl flooring is fashioned from different layers of plastic and for sale in tiles as well as rolled sheets. Higher quality vinyl floors contain colors and motifs imbedded inside the plastic, and all vinyl flooring has a protective overlay designed to enhance its surface durability. Be sure to check out the Granite Kitchen Backsplash.

Laminate flooring is a cost effective selection for a consumer who enjoys the appearance of a more high-priced floor but simply can?t afford it. Laminate is an additional layered kind of flooring which could mimic more high-priced materials, and is frequently put into use as a substitute for hardwood. Laminate flooring can last longer than carpets and vinyl flooring and also any surface texture you use on a hardwood floor, although predictably will not last as long as the hardwood itself, and nowhere near as long as stone or ceramic tile. Some sorts of laminate flooring tend to be not as easy to maintain, because for all its reputed durability, it will not put up with standing water on its surface.

Of course, if you?re truly in love with hardwood, you?ll find nothing which replaces the visual appeal or feel of real wood. A first-rate hardwood floor can survive for a lifetime or more with appropriate maintenance, which is going to be substantial. Hardwood floors must be swept, mopped and buffed regularly, and must be sanded and refinished just about every five to ten years, depending on the amount of activity in your house. Hardwood is also relatively expensive to acquire and install.

Ceramic tile has been used for hundreds of years in homes and happens to be a very trendy option for kitchens. It is resilient and is made in a limitless assortment of designs, shades and textures. Glazed tile is less difficult to clean although it may turn out to be slippery when wet, unless it has been glazed with a non-slip products.? Ceramic tiles are easy to care for and very durable. They are initially very expensive to both purchase and lay, but bearing in mind that this floor will probably outlast the rest of the average house, it?s a extremely reasonable choice.

It is crucial to choose a floor that you wish to look at, are able to care for, and can purchase. If you also manage to get a floor that your grandkids will be able to appreciate, so much the better.

Mickelson surges into tie for lead in Houston

(AP) ? Phil Mickelson finished a 7-under 65 early Friday to move into contention at the rain-delayed Houston Open.

The defending champion completed only three holes Thursday before an afternoon thunderstorm forced the suspension of the first round. Angel Cabrera and Carl Pettersson posted 65s early Thursday to share the overnight lead.

Mickelson resumed his round at daybreak and birdied both par 5s on the front nine. He strung together eight consecutive one-putt greens before two-putting on No. 10. He then sank a 10-footer for birdie on the par-4 12th.

"The greens were immaculate," he said. "If you get it in the surface, you'd feel like you'd make the putts."

Three-time major champion Ernie Els, who must win to qualify for next week's Masters, completed a 2-under 70 on Friday morning.

Tournament director Steve Timms said Thursday's storm dumped 1? inches of rain on Redstone. The players enjoyed sunny skies and calm conditions Friday morning, though Mickelson said the balls were picking up mud when they hit the fairways.

Officials were allowing players to lift, clean and place their balls in the second round.

Mickelson said a bit of mud on his ball caused an errant approach shot to the par-5 13th, leading to his only bogey of his first round.

"There's not much you can do about that," Mickelson said.

Mickelson played with Fred Couples, who won on the Champions Tour last week. Couples, who played at the University of Houston and has made 18 consecutive cuts at the event, shot a 5-under 67.

Ricky Barnes and Houston resident Jeff Maggert completed 66s Thursday. Greg Owen and John Huh each finished 66s Friday morning. Defending PGA champion Keegan Bradley and 2010 British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen joined Couples in the group at 5 under.

Mickelson birdied the par-5 15th, then holed a pitch from behind the 16th green. He was to start his second round an hour after finishing his first, and didn't mind the long day ahead.

"I like being able to come out and play a lot of holes in one day," Mickelson said. "If you start playing well, you get a good rhythm, you can make a lot of birdies, especially out here."

Mickelson says he's prefers playing a tournament the week before a major to get into a "competitive frame of mind." He shot 63-65 over the weekend last year to win by three strokes over Chris Kirk and Scott Verplank.

The Houston Open became the run-up event to the Masters in 2007. Timms is hoping to finish the tournament by 5 p.m. Sunday to accommodate not only television, but also the players heading to Augusta.

"We do everything we can operationally to hit that window," Timms said.

Isolated storms were in the forecast for Friday afternoon, creating the potential for another delay. Cabrera and Pettersson were starting their second rounds after 5 p.m. Friday.

Pettersson missed the cut the last two weeks, at Innisbrook and Bay Hill, and blamed poor iron play. He changed his setup on the range Tuesday and hit 16 of 18 greens in regulation Thursday.

"I felt confident with that, but that doesn't always relate to good play," he said. "But I felt like I was striking the ball well again, and I told myself just to play aggressive and shoot at the pins and see what happens."

Cabrera has played at Redstone every year since 2007, the year he won the U.S. Open. He missed the cut there in 2009, then won the Masters the following week.

Charlie Epps, Cabrera's Houston-based swing coach, said the Argentine is concentrating on this week and not thinking about the Masters just yet.

"He wants to play well this week, he's focused on this week," Epps said.

Chris Couch (unspecified injury) and 2010 champion Anthony Kim (shoulder injury) withdrew Friday.

Use a Storage Pod as Your Garage Shed

This short article is create to give greater possibilities to people who require more room within their house because storage space is limited. Even if you already have a garage, getting extra room is always useful and this can be accomplished with storage pods.

Storage pods are made in resilient and durable materials. They are mainly built from metals that are also weather resistant. Some will include a ventilation system, for preventing mold and mildew that's commonly found in uncontrolled storage spaces.

If you've ever used a storage facility, you will notice they will have air conditioning to keep moisture and rodents out. If you do your own landscaping and gardening you can store the lawn mower, trimmers , gardening tools and chemicals there and out of harm's way. The storage units can be easily converted to a garage system to serve the same purposes.

Organizational shelves can also be purchased separately to make every tool and every product remain in order, and also for easily identifying each product. You can also accessorize with tool organizers, bike racks, ceiling mounts and other items that can be bought at the manufacturer's outlet, or you can check he cost of buying these accessories at the local home improvement store too. Doing it yourself is great if you are up to the challenge of tackling a new project.

Storage pods possess a number of locking techniques, plus several are made like storage doorways to provide similar appearances. Something all of us question about storage pods is actually utilizing it for your automobile. If you don't invest in a large version, your vehicle may not fit.

In the event that this is really something you will need, you can get in touch with a contractor who can customize the storage space. They can tell you whether or not they are able to customize a pod for fitting your automobile.

One benefit of using a storage pod over a traditional garage shed is that they are premade beforehand. You get the green light to pick up and go, or have a drop off service. There is no wait time unless you choose a custom made one, and you won't have a problem trying to figure out the assembly.

Something you should look at when utilizing storage pods in your house, is actually researching if it's allowed inside your neighborhood, and also your region. A few house owners may challenge these types of buildings, because they feel as though it doesn't stick to the plan. Additionally, a few metropolitan areas will charge a fine for parking these in your house or even in the car parking area outdoors. Therefore make sure to check with your city council.

2-minute expert: How much smartphone data do I need?

If you have a smartphone, you have to buy a data plan as well, which could add around $360 a year or more to your bill. Wireless carriers have implemented new pricing, data limits and "throttling" that can make figuring out plans downright baffling. Here's a handy chart to help sort it all out.

'Mad Men' Season-Five Premiere: 10 Lingering Mysteries

Many questions were answered, but which 'Mad Men' mysteries remain unresolved following Sunday night's season opener?
By Josh Wigler

The "Mad Men" season five premiere has come and gone, leaving us with several burning questions answered and one heck of a catchy tune to hum all week long.

But not every question was answered — two seasons later and we still don't know the whereabouts of Sal Romano, for one, not to mention all of the confounding baby drama circulating throughout the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offices. Those are just some of the "Mad Men" mysteries still lingering after the season five premiere. Here are 10 more.

10. You do know Dick: So, Megan is in on Don's big secret — some of it, at least. We know she knows his real name is Dick Whitman, and clearly she knows he has some deep-seated insecurity issues. Beyond that, what else does she know? Did Don tell her he witnessed the real Draper's explosive death firsthand? Did he tell her about switching the dog tags while Real Don's corpse was still warm? We're definitely curious to know more.

9. Pete's secret: Megan isn't the only one in the know on Drapergate. Don's former-rival-turned-reluctant-ally Pete Campbell is also in on the secret, having known Draper's true identity for a few seasons now. Pete's always been ambitious, but as we saw in the season premiere, his ambitions are at an all-time high. When will the time come when Pete uses Don's real identity to his own advantage? Will that particular cat come out of the bag this season?

8. Pete's other secret: The other bagged cat that eventually has to come out? Pete fathered a child with Peggy Olson. Trudy still doesn't know about Pete's somewhere-out-there illegitimate son, but that's a secret that can't possibly be contained forever. Five seasons is a long time to go without bringing that particular pot to a boil. Smart money says that Pete's big daddy secret comes out before the year's end.

7. When Joanie met Roger: In other baby drama news, Joan Holloway is the proud mama of Roger Sterling's baby boy, though that too is a secret; by all other accounts, Joan's infant son belongs to her military-serving husband Greg. But when that bundle of joy turns into a silver-haired, chain-smoking, womanizing toddler a season or two from now, people are going to put two and two together pretty quickly. Expect this one to be a major plot point throughout season five.

6. Wherefore art thou, Betty?: We understand that January Jones' emotionally disturbed housewife has been downplayed in recent seasons, what with her divorce from Don, but sitting out of the opening two-hour episode entirely? That was a bit of a shock. What's up with Betty Francis these days? How are things with her not-so-perfect new husband? Thankfully, this seems like one mystery that'll get resolved before too long.

5. Wherefore art thou, Delores?: Ah, good old Lane Pryce. You can always count on that fine gentleman to wear his heart on his sleeve. This time, the detail-oriented Lane has set his sights on Delores, a woman he's only spoken with on the phone and seen in an old photograph. Though that storyline seemed quickly and neatly wrapped up before episode's end, that far-off look in Lane's eye is a dead giveaway: He hasn't given up on meeting this one, not by a long shot. The question isn't when will they meet, but how super-awkward will their meeting be?

4. New hires: Looking at the business goings-on at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, it appears that a new employee will be hired before much longer, based on the premiere's end. But in the racially tense 1960s, will the chauvinists and bigots of SCDP be accepting of an African-American co-worker? And what will the new hire, whoever he or she (probably she) may be, bring to the table as a character? We're certain looking forward to meeting the latest "Mad Men" castmember when (or if) he/she finally shows up.

3. The musical fruit: We've already seen Peggy's attempts at crafting creative, innovative ideas for her clients. But Heinz didn't bite on Peggy's elegant bean ballet, eye-fetching as it was. Will we see the better (or worse) idea that Heinz falls in love with, or will Peggy et al lose the client? And if they lose the client, well, it leaves only one question to ask ...

2. When will the ship sink?: Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce barely stayed afloat during season four of "Mad Men." Business has not improved much since then. Depending on how long the bad luck continues, can SCDP really stay open for business? Will Don and the guys have to cut back on their heavy drinking and over-the-top lifestyles to save the company? (God forbid they give their livers and lungs a break for one episode!) If the proverbial ship hits the iceberg, where will Don and the others go? A "Mad Men" without Sterling Cooper in some way, shape or form is a very different "Mad Men" indeed — but perhaps it's a "Mad Men" we'll see before season's end.

1. Zooby zooby zoo: Finally, perhaps the most important lingering mystery of them all: When are we going to hear "Zou Bisou Bisou" again? Because I'm pretty ready for that to be a regular fixture in every "Mad Men" episode from here until eternity.

What did you think of the "Mad Men" season premiere? Tell us in the comments section or let me know on Twitter @roundhoward!

(AP) ? Tiger Woods hit so many great shots that he couldn't single one out as the best. Winning was as sweet as ever, even after a PGA Tour drought that stretched over 923 days and 27 tournaments.

The best part about posing with the trophy at Bay Hill?

The conversation was back on golf, his favorite subject.

Just two weeks ago, Woods gingerly climbed into a golf cart and was taken off the golf course at Doral with soreness and swelling in his left Achilles tendon, the same injury that caused him to miss three months and two majors last year.

On Sunday, no one questioned his health. Woods marched to a five-shot victory in the Arnold Palmer Invitational that restored his confidence and gave him momentum going into the Masters two weeks away.

"This was coming," Woods said. "I've been close a number of times, basically since Australia. Just had to stay the course."

Only a month ago, there were concerns that Woods could no longer make the important putts.

He had missed a 5-foot birdie putt on the last hole to lose in the second round at the Match Play Championship. He missed several putts just as close when he crashed out in the final round at Pebble Beach. But there he was at Bay Hill, knocking in two big par putts on the back nine to keep his distance from Graeme McDowell.

"I just never got close to him," McDowell said.

And then there's the book by his ex-swing coach, Hank Haney. "The Big Miss," which goes on sale Tuesday, has been such a sore spot with Woods that he lost his cool with a reporter earlier this month. The book reveals a driven player who is self-centered and rarely satisfied, no big surprise except that it was a side of Woods he tried to keep private for all these years.

Woods added a chapter to his own book Sunday.

He won for the 72nd time on the PGA Tour ? one short of Jack Nicklaus in second place on the career list ? and 84th time worldwide. It was the 16th time he won by at least five shots, and his seventh win at Bay Hill tied the PGA Tour for most wins on a single golf course. Woods owns both marks. He also has won seven times at Firestone.

"I think he really just kind of nailed home his comeback," McDowell said. "Great to have a front-row seat watching maybe the greatest of all time doing what he does best ? winning golf tournaments."

The only thing missing was the host himself.

Palmer's blood pressure increased during the final round from new medications, and he was taken to the hospital about 15 minutes before the tournament ended as a precaution. Alaistair Johnston, vice chairman at IMG and his longtime business manager, said Palmer would be kept overnight. "Nobody is overly concerned," he said.

Woods goes to No. 6 in the world, returning to the top 10 for the first time since May 22.

"Heading home now and I can't stop smiling. Thanks to Otown fans and everyone watching for all the love. Get well soon, Arnie," Woods tweeted about three hours after his win.

On a Bay Hill course that was crisp, fast and dangerous, Woods ran off four birdies on the front nine to build a four-shot lead, then kept his mistakes to a minimum for a 2-under 70.

He quickly stretched his lead to three shots on the opening hole when McDowell, who closed with a 74, caught a buried lie in the bunker and made double bogey. After that, it was vintage Woods.

From 267 yards away in the fairway on the par-5 sixth, Woods hit a 3-iron that climbed over the water and landed softly to just over 15 feet away to secure a birdie. Two holes later, facing a tight pin over the water, he ripped an 8-iron from 182 yards that barely cleared the bank and caught a slope to within 4 feet for birdie.

The lead was four at the turn, and McDowell never got closer than three the rest of the way. Ian Poulter had a 74 and finished alone in third, and while he never looked behind him to see what Woods was doing, he could hear it.

This is a win that will resonate.

"He's always a force to be reckoned with when he's not playing his best golf," Poulter said. "And obviously, he's playing a lot of good golf right now. The shots he's hit, just looking at the highlights, he's got a lot of his game back. And when he starts rolling putts in, he's dangerous. So he's going to be a force for everybody at Augusta."

Woods finished at 13-under 275.

It was the first time Woods had won on the PGA Tour since Sept. 13, 2009, at the BMW Championship. His last win against a full field had been Nov. 15, 2009, at the Australian Masters.

Twelve days later, Woods drove into a fire hydrant outside his home, and it wasn't long before revelations of multiple extramarital affairs that led to divorce and cost him an impeccable marketing image. Woods has won back the support of fans who love to see great golf, though corporate support has been lagging.

Woods downplayed the significance of Sunday, pointing out on more than one occasion that he considers it his second win since the scandal. He counts the Chevron World Challenge last December, when he went birdie-birdie to beat an 18-man field of top-50 players.

But this was significant ? a PGA Tour event with a full field, and a strong field at that. And with a performance so clean that he was never seriously challenged on the back nine.

"I've gotten better, and that's the main thing," Woods said. "I've been close for a number of tournaments now. And it was just a matter of staying the course and staying patient, keeping working on fine-tuning what we're doing. And here we are."

So where does he go?

Next up is the Masters, which looms larger than ever. Woods figures to be a big favorite, along with Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson, all of whom have won in the first three months of the season.

"I've won here on a few occasions going into Augusta, which has always been a good feeling," Woods said. "I still have got some work to do, but I'm excited about the things that we have accomplished. It's been very good."

It felt better than that on the 18th hole, when the familiar red shirt was accompanied by a smile that had not been seen in some time at the end of a tournament.

Cash spills on the highway: What would you do?

(AP) ? You're cruising along the highway when you see a bunch of green bills fluttering around like flakes in a snow globe. You get closer and you realize it's cash. Other drivers are pulling over to snatch what they can. What do you do?

Some drivers in Maryland faced that choice Friday when two plastic bags containing about $5,700 in bills and coins fell from an unlatched door on an armored truck and spilled onto Interstate 270 about 35 miles northwest of Washington.

One witness said she saw about 30 cars pulled over on the shoulders and people frantically collecting fistfuls of cash. Police say the motorists grabbed almost all of it. Others kept driving.

Imagine having your commute turn into a morality play. What's your first reaction? Do you slam on the brakes, jump onto a busy highway and start scrambling? Do you slow down to get a closer look? Or do you keep driving, guilt-free but without a surprise payday? OK, now what if your kids were in the car?

The answers from several people who spoke to The Associated Press on Friday offer a glimpse into the minds of Americans trying to juggle doing the right thing and getting by in a tough economy where even a few unexpected dollars can be a blessing.

It wasn't hypothetical for attorney Heather Kelly, who was driving to her office in Frederick when she passed through the surreal scene. She didn't see the armored truck but noticed the two clear plastic bags of currency along the road and people snatching the $1 to $50 bills wafting through the air and skittering along the highway.

"It was in the traffic lanes and on the shoulders and just generally kind of like a snow globe of cash," she said. "Some people had fists full of money, fists full of dollars, and other people were just still trying to collect."

Kelly decided it was too risky to stop, though no one was injured. She said she wouldn't have stopped even if it was a two-lane road with no other traffic.

"It was really unclear what was going on and I like to stay away from that type of thing," she said.

The truck belonged to Garda World Security Services Corp., a Montreal-based security and cash logistics company, spokesman Joe Gavaghan said. He said they're cooperating with state police investigators to find out what happened.

Maryland State Police urged people to return the money to the agency's barracks in Rockville, with no questions asked and no charges filed. As of Friday afternoon, no one had.

So what would you do?

Chicago billing clerk Stephany Harris, 53, didn't miss a beat.

"Of course I would," she said. "If the armored car had been in an accident of something, I'd make sure the drivers were OK and I'd call 911. But I'd put as much money in my pockets (as I could) and run."

But what if her kids were there? "I absolutely would not take any money," she answered again without hesitation. "I wouldn't want them to get the message that grabbing money that is not yours is the right thing to do."

Jeff Bora, 30, of Chicago said he would stop to make sure none of the money was stolen.

"I'd start picking it up and I'd call police right away," he said.

As a former lawyer and prosecutor, he knows that it's stealing and he could land in serious trouble. Even if he was alone and could get away undetected, he said he still wouldn't do it: "It would be about how I would feel about myself later. Bad karma would get me in the end."

Another kind of karma occurred to Dennis Lowe, 30, of Providence, R.I. He said it's simple human nature, especially if the money is from an armored truck. He said plenty of Americans are fed up with banks, insurance companies and other corporations that move cash in armored trucks.

"The money is insured," he said while waiting downtown for a bus. "They've been taking money from me, so it's just karma."

He said he likely would have stopped to grab a few bills, but it might depend on where he was going. He planned to watch his alma mater, Xavier University, on TV in the NCAA basketball tournament on Friday night.

What if he spotted the cash on his way to catch the game? Watch his team or grab the greenbacks?

"Watch Xavier," he said. "No question."

In Southern California, where mammoth freeways and gridlock are a way of life, 19-year-old Stephen Schreiber worried about causing traffic.

"I don't want to get hit by some cars and I don't want to cause traffic," he said while working at a coffee shop in Tustin.

He did see one possibility: "What kind of car are we driving? A convertible? Because then maybe my hand or my butterfly net would just stick up and grab some as I drive on by, but otherwise I probably wouldn't stop," he said.

Anthony Janni, 36, a bartender in Hagerstown, said he understands why people would stop for "money that seems to just fall into their hands," but he probably wouldn't have done so.

"The highway's not necessarily the place to do something like that," Janni said. "It's not something worth causing an accident over."

Brian Gates, 32, of Cincinnati said he would get out to pick up the cash, with a few conditions. If he had kids and they were in the car, he wouldn't do it. He also wouldn't risk his safety.

"I'm not going to take a chance of endangering my life or others for money," he said.

If he was alone? "Oh yeah! If there is money out there. We can all use money."

The economy lurked in the decision-making for Gates and others.

Gates believes it's much harder economically now for the middle class than in his parents' day because "everything costs more."

"I bought a little economy car to help with gas, when gas was two dollars, and now it's doubled. I never thought I would have to pay four dollars for gas."

Jeanetta Campbell, 40, is a part-time mail clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Cincinnati. She said she certainly wouldn't leave her kids in a car to chase money and she probably wouldn't do it if she was alone.

The denomination of the bills might make a difference.

"If it was hundred-dollar bills, it would be worth it," she said, laughing. "But if was just (single) dollars, no."

She's a single mother with three sons and a grandson. Her youngest son, 17, is still at home. She finds it "harder all the time to make ends meet."

Maybe the economy makes people more likely to go chase cash on a highway, she speculated, recalling her own single mother: "My mother still had to struggle, but I think the economy was better when we were growing up than it is now."

Ensuring their insurance costs | Coaching Internationally

Take A Look At These Auto Insurance Tips!

There are many vehicles available on the highway, and also the great majority have something in common. No, not wheels ? although that maybe true! What they have in common is insurance. Nearly every vehicle is insured. It?s mandated legally. Then when you?ll need cheap auto insurance, begin using these ideas to obtain the best deal.

If you?re a senior and also you own your vehicle try not to drive greatly anymore, you might have the ability to save money on car insurance. Consider insuring just the main driver of the vehicle. If the person includes a good driving record you?ll be able to obtain a reduced rate.

Learn exactly what the best auto policy is perfect for you by researching by yourself. Don?t expect the insurer employee to inform you. A worker might help show you through policies, but might possibly not have in your mind what?s good for you. Based on which kind of commission plan a real estate agent receives, the employee might be steering you toward policies which are within the best interest from the employee?s paycheck.

If you?re car shopping make sure to seek advice from your car insurance agent about how exactly the vehicle you?re selecting will affect your premium. Are eco-friendly may have different effects in your insurance charges, which is often hard to predict by yourself such a certain car will mean for the premiums.

Don?t just leave behind an insurance plan whenever you purchase a brand new one. If you do not notify your car insurance company that you are changing insurers, your policy will in all probability be cancelled to fail to pay for. This leaves an adverse mark in your record and may lead to higher rates later on.

Ask your insurance professional in case your age you can get any discounts. Research indicates that, similar to fine wine, drivers often improve as we grow older. Your insurance provider may provide you with a discount to be a long-term driver, providing you with a price reduction each time you pass the age milestones they?ve set.

Get multiple policies with similar insurance provider. Most insurance providers provide a multi-policy discount for those who have several various kinds of insurance plans together. You can aquire a discount of 10 % to twenty percent simply by carrying multiple policies with similar insurance provider.

Consider car pooling or the bus if you?re attempting to lower your car insurance premiums. Many carriers offer lower rates for drivers who don?t exceed 7,500 miles each year. If you reside within an urban area with robust mass transit or have car pooling options, you might save significant money by reduction of your annual mileage.

Car insurance policies will invariably ask where your automobile is parked during the night. Should you park it inside a garage or perhaps a personal driveway you?ll much more likely get lower rates than should you park it in the pub or downtown. The second, inherently provides more risk, and therefore, higher premiums.

With regards to car insurance and elderly drivers you should consider checking for signs they shouldn?t be driving anymore for example slow reaction time. This is vital that you ensure their safety in addition to ensuring their insurance costs don?t skyrocket.

Insurance coverage is something you require so you do not get a ticket and lose your license, obviously. However, you likewise need it to safeguard you financially in the event you cause or perhaps be in an accident. Be sure you apply the guidelines you?ve learned above to be able to save money on the next policy..

internet marketing - 2 Tips For Marketing Your Business ...

If you want to make more money in your business, there are some things that you will want to do if you want to earn as much money as possible. Internet marketing is very simple to do, and if you can just persist with it in your business, you will see the results that you are looking for.

There are many effective online marketing strategies out there and in today's lesson, I want to share with you what some of these strategies are so that you can get on the right track towards earning more money online. These are tips that you can do within the next 8 hours. Here's the first way to market your business and products successfully online.

1) Start an email list

With an email list, you can get subscribers and get them to visit your website everyday to get them to buy something, or simply to provide them with more valuable content that they can use to make more money in their internet business. Starting an email list is one of the smartest things that you can do online.

And yes, the money is definitely in the list. They may not buy right away from you, but keep following up on these people and they will buy from you months later down the line. This is an excellent way to boost your opt-in email newsletter's conversion rate also. So instead of closing 1 to 2 people per 100 subscribers (1 percent to 2 percent) . . . you could be closing 3 to 5 people per 100 subscribers (3 percent to 5 percent). See the math here?

Here's another tip for making your website successful:

2) Start an affiliate program

Now guess what? Only about 5 percent of the affiliates that sign up to your affiliate program will earn you the most money. Sure you will have to split the profits around 50 percent to 60 percent, but you will get the customer name in return - which is very valuable to you (and plus, you still get to profit a little bit on every sale made by your affiliate.)

You can easily start an affiliate program by using Clickbank or Paydotcom. Both of these sites have affiliates who are just ready and waiting to promote the hottest new product out there. These sites will land you alot of affiliates, and they will do their best to promote your product for you. But just know that only a handful of people will make the most money for you.

Nevertheless, it's a great way to get more targeted traffic to your website. Soon people will buy from you, and some won't. You will just want to be ready to collect the customer name and follow up on the customer once they buy from you. This is where all of your money will come from, so sharing a piece of the affiliate commission should mean nothing to you.

Be sure to take these tips and use them when marketing your online business today.

Good luck with taking these tips and improving your chances of internet marketing success.

Doctors find clue in quest to predict heart attack

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Too often, people pass a cardiac checkup only to collapse with a heart attack days later. Now scientists have found a clue that one day may help doctors determine if a heart attack is imminent, in hopes of preventing it.

Most heart attacks happen when fatty deposits in an artery burst open, and a blood clot then forms to seal the break. If the clot is too big, it blocks off blood flow.

The problem: Today's best tests can't predict when that's about to happen.

"We don't have a way to get at whether an artery's going to crack, the precursor to a heart attack," said Dr. Eric Topol, director of California's Scripps Translational Science Institute.

Wednesday, Scripps researchers reported a new lead ? by searching people's blood for cells that appear to flake off the lining of a severely diseased artery.

Topol's team measured high levels of those cells, deformed ones, floating in the blood of 50 people who'd just had a heart attack. The research is reported in the journal Science Translational Medicine.

Next, Topol said his team soon will begin needed studies to learn how early those cells might appear before a heart attack, and if spotting them could allow use of clot-preventing drugs to ward off damage. Some San Diego emergency rooms will study an experimental blood test with chest-pain sufferers whose standard exams found no evidence of a heart attack, he said.

Don't expect a test to predict heart attacks any time soon ? a lot more research is needed, caution heart specialists not involved with the study. But they're intrigued.

"This study is pretty exciting," said Dr. Douglas Zipes of Indiana University and past president of the American College of Cardiology. It suggests those cells are harmed "not just in the minutes prior" to a heart attack, he said, "but probably hours, maybe even days" earlier.

"It's a neat, provocative first step," added Dr. William C. Little, cardiology chief at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. "But it is not a biomarker ready for prime time."

About 935,000 people in the U.S. have a heart attack every year, according to government figures. Doctors can tell who's at risk: People with high blood pressure and cholesterol, who smoke, have diabetes, are overweight or sedentary.

But there's no way to tell when a heart attack is imminent. Tests can spot that an artery is narrowing, or if a heart attack is under way or already has damaged the heart muscle. They can't tell if the plaque inside arteries is poised to rupture.

So it's not that uncommon for someone to suffer a heart attack shortly after passing a stress test or being told that their chest pain was nothing to worry about.

Wednesday's study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, investigated cells shed from the endothelium, or the lining of blood vessels, into the bloodstream. They're called "circulating endothelial cells."

First, Topol's team paired with Veridex LLC, a Johnson & Johnson unit that makes technology used to find cancer cells floating in blood. Could it find these cardiovascular cells, too?

The team took blood samples from 50 heart attack patients ? before they had any artery-disturbing tests or treatments ? and from 44 healthy volunteers. They counted lots of the endothelial cells floating in the heart attack victims' blood, and very little in the healthy people's blood.

The big surprise: The cells in the heart patients were grossly deformed. "Sick cells," is how Topol describes them.

The study couldn't tell when those abnormal cells first appeared ? and that's key, said Wake Forest's Little. It's not clear how many heart attacks happen too suddenly for any warning period.

But Topol theorizes there are plaques that break apart gradually and may shed these cells for up to two weeks before the heart attack. He cites autopsy studies that found people's arteries healed several plaque ruptures before the final one that killed them.

Topol said Scripps and Veridex have filed for a patent for a blood test to detect the abnormal cells.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) ? A southern Indiana high school wrecked by tornadoes won a free concert by country music stars Lady Antebellum on Tuesday thanks to a rival school that, along with students in other states, advocated on the battered school's behalf in an online contest.

Schools from as far away as northern Wisconsin submitted YouTube videos urging the Grammy-winning group to choose Henryville High School in the band's "Own the Night" contest, which offered the winning school a concert at its prom. Henryville's schools were heavily damaged when powerful tornadoes ripped through the region earlier this month, killing 13 people.

The winning video was entered by students at Silver Creek High School in nearby Sellersburg, Ind., a longtime sports rival of Henryville High. They spent two days filming in Henryville, interviewing residents and getting footage of the devastation. Henryville also got video support form a southern Illinois community that suffered a fatal tornado in February.

"It meant a lot to us and made a lot of people cry. Knowing there's that many people out there that cared to give it to us instead of their own prom," said 17-year-old Henryville junior Daniele Kats, adding that word spread quickly on Facebook about Lady Antebellum's choosing her school.

"It's gonna be awesome," she said Tuesday evening.

Lady Antebellum said the band was touched by Henryville's "story, resilience and unity following devastating tornadoes." Because of a scheduling conflict, the trio won't be able to perform at Henryville's prom on April 27, so a concert will be held for juniors and seniors in nearby Louisville, Ky., on May 16, followed by a benefit for the community.

Lady Antebellum singer Charles Kelley said Henryville students shouldn't be disappointed that the band won't be able to visit their community.

"Trust me, we have something even bigger in store," Kelley said in the band's video announcing the win. Fellow singer Hillary Scott added: "See you soon, Henryville!"

The trio, rounded out by Dave Haywood, won best country album at this year's Grammy Awards for "Own the Night," and took home several Grammys last year, including record and song of the year for "Need You Now." Details about its Louisville concert will be released soon.

Video entries supporting Henryville also came from D.C. Everest Senior High School in Weston, Wis., and from Harrisburg, Ill., where a tornado that struck Feb. 29 killed seven people.

Harrisburg students said that despite their community's loss, they decided to back Henryville's prom bid.

Henryville art teacher Amy Fischmer, the prom committee's co-chairwoman, said her students were "grateful and happy" of the outpouring of support on the school's behalf following the devastating storms on March 2.

"That day was a tragedy, but they're just rallying and making the most of it and just enjoying life," she said. "For the winning video to be one that was entered on their behalf from another school makes it mean so much more. It kind of reaffirms your hope in humanity."

Classes for Henryville high school students will resume on April 2 in a nearby community. The prom, which is expecting about 200 students, also will be held at another site.

Mary Beth Coffman, Silver Creek's mass media teacher, recruited three of her students to be the video's stars and helped them gather interviews and footage. The video ends with a student standing in a field before dozens of classmates, saying, "Lady A, even if we don't win the contest, we're still going to own the night anyway" before they begin chanting "HHS! HHS!"

"I've been jumping up and down and screaming by myself," Coffman said. "I'm so excited to be part of something that's going to be so special."
